Salutations

I really have never been quite fond of writing out introductions. But, I'll do it. I just hope it doesn't result in me appearing to be a fool.

Where to start? I suppose the basics will do. I am a freshman in college. I am eighteen years old. The picture above is one of my senior pictures so I didn't take it. I come from York, graduated Central York High School in 2010. I'm a bit of a nerd and have read quite a few comic books in my time. I even play D&D, though I'm not really hard core, as I have only started playing since I have arrived here. Being a nerd doesn' mean I prefer staying indoors. I am quite the opposite as I love snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, among other things. My favorite season is winter, as I love the cold and some of my favorite sport only occur with cold weather. I do like to watch football, but my love of the Dallas Cowboys is hardly appreciated locally. My more scholarly interests are quite diversem, making a future career path rather hazy. For four years, I have studied Japanese and seem to excel in learning said language.  As far as classic literature goes, I really love John Milton and his epic Paradise Lost. I have found that I possess a passion for animals and would love to get a German Shepherd some day. However, I also support hunting and adore deer meat. Most exotic food doesn't scare me off, as I have even tried raw octopus, though I don't recommend it. Art is a hobby of mine, and I have found that on occasion my effort yields something that I might not want to burn directly after creating it. However, I don't really frequent art galleries. I do however, listen to classical music and enjoy television shows and movies that are more action themed. The X-men movies are some of my favorite movies. Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, and Indiana Jones are some of the others I love. On a side note, I am a grammar Nazi.

I think that is nearly enough? Well, if you did read all that, which I doubt many will, it makes me feel very warm and fuzzy inside. I hope I have effectively given you glimpse at my lifestyle.

For those who are curious, I did design this blog myself. It took a little while, and the stock I used to create the background is not my own, nor is the title font. I feel I will be working on it again, maybe adding some gears to the title. But I do enjoy the warm, vintage, slightly steam punk look it has.

For now, I bid you Farewell.

  1. I've also tried raw octopus...and would also not recommend it. Unless, that is, you enjoy eating rubber bands :) Good to know there is another LoR and D&D fan in the class! Welcome!

  2. I like LOTR and the other movies you like to! How was the octopus? I wanted to see if I could get some when I was in Italy, but I couldn't find a place that sold it. So I enjoyed lots of pasta :D

  3. LOTR is probably in my top 5 favorite movies, and I really like the new Sherlock Holmes movie(not sure if that's the one you like!). Although I've never played D&D, it definitely sounds fun, and it'd be something I'd like to try out! Not sure if you've heard of it, but my boyfriend and I play Heroes frequently--I really enjoy it. (:

  5. I am so impressed by you learning Japanese, and I have always wanted to go horseback riding! I used to go hunting, 4years actually! I had a yellow lab growing up and he passed away over the summer, so his replacement was a chocolate lab/german shepherd mix, he is so cute. Such a good dog!
By the way I did read it all! : )

  6. I read through the whole thing :p I just saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie yesteray. I thought that it was a really good movie, Robert Downey Jr. did an awesome job with his role. I had a few friends in highschool who played D&D so I have played few times. The only problem is that they want to play for 6-7 hours at a time and I can't sit in one place for that long.
